Top 10 Rap Albums of the Week

Commentary By: White Chicks On Rap

Rick Ross is still number one. Foxy Brown’s new album “Brooklyn’s Don Diva” debuts at number two. Foxy has disowned this album saying she did not get to hear the final mix until it was released and feels it is not strong enough to be a full album, saying it is more of a mixtape. A new version with new tracks is scheduled for a June 2008 release. The Roots are still doing well dropping from number two to number three and Trina drops from three to four. Lil’ Scrappy’s second album debuts at number six.

This weeks chart sees a return for Trina who releases her fourth album. She has been in the game for around ten years. Rick Ross' second album is performing strong with singles like "Speedin" with R. Kelly and "The Boss" with T-Pain. Flo Rida's debut featuring the hit "Low" shows no signs of slowing down. Many of the acts charting are not household names like Snoop Dogg or Lupe Fisaco, but they representing the south in a strong way.
